Donald Trump’s all-star party
Donald Trump celebrated the launch of his newest baby, the Trump International Hotel and Tower Dubai with an exclusive star-studded party in Beverly Hills on August 23, 2008. The party was co-hosted by His Excellency Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem.
Trump’s guest list included some of Hollywood’s most popular celebrities including Heroes stars Hayden Panettiere and Ali Larter, Hilary Swank, Lucy Liu, Orlando Bloom, Paula Abdul, and Kate Walsh. The celebrities dressed in their best and flashed their wide smiles (and blings) as they posed for pictures with The Donald.
By the year 2011, the Trump International Hotel and Tower is expected to be the tallest edifice in Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah, with its 62-storey stainless steel and glass structure. The luxurious hotel cum residential building had a sales launch in New York on June 23 with special guests Demi Moore, Heidi Klum, and Naomi Watts.
The real estate mogul’s co-host for the exclusive party, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, is one of Dubai’s most prominent personalities. He is the founder and chairman of a holding company called Dubai World which is estimated to have at least $80-100 billion in assets. The Sultan is also the executive chairman of Nakheel, a government-owned real estate company responsible for the development of Dubai’s palm tree-shaped man-made islands. Nakheel began developing and working on Trump’s latest hotel in July this year.
Guests were treated to an overview of the project through 360-degree video presentations and photographs which also showed the various impressive developments initiated by Nakheel as well as other major projects in Dubai.
Singer-mom Christina Aguilera performed live for The Donald and his guests on a 60-foot dome, 80-foot tent while Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wenz served as the DJ.
Ivanka Trump, The Donald’s daughter from first wife Ivana, graced the exclusive event to support her father.
